Stage Directions give a general description of what the audience sees and hears beyond the dialogue. It may give indications of scenery, costumes, props, as well as actions, movement, gestures, and body language.
Stage directions provide readers with important information about the setting, character movements, and actions that help them visualize the performance in their minds. They guide readers on how the play should be performed, adding context and depth to the dialogue and enhancing their understanding of the text.
reading silently
Reading aloud involves speaking the words out loud, while reading silently is done without speaking the words. Reading aloud can help with pronunciation and comprehension, while reading silently can often be faster and more efficient for personal reading.
Reading your papers out loud can help you catch errors that you might miss when reading silently. It allows you to hear how the sentences flow and can help you identify awkward phrasing or poorly structured arguments. Reading out loud can also help you determine if your writing effectively communicates your ideas to your readers.

Some people learn best by seeing the information in words or pictures - those people understand what they read best when they read silently. Other people learn best by hearing - those people benefit by reading out loud. It really depends on what sort of learner you are. My opinion is, so long as you're reading, I don't care if you do it silently or out loud! Reading is one of the best ways to improve your mind.
