Well, tectonic plates cause natural disasters for a lot of reasons and cause many types of natural occurrences not always "disasters".
1. The first type of tectonic disaster is the tsunami "Japanese meaning big wave" which is caused when one tectonic plate is forced under the other. This can only happen under water to be a tsunami.
2. Another natural disaster is the volcano. Volcanos and mountains are formed when tectonic plates are forced against each other, but instead of going down, they both go up. An example of this is the Himalayas in Asia. The mountain range is still moving up, in fact Mt. Everest moves up at around 6 inches every year! That's way faster than Hillary Clintons chances to becoming president!
3. Another occurrence is when the plates move away from each other, this is called continental drift. You can see this in Iceland where the plates are moving away at about an inch a year. Remember when this happens new crust fills in from the bottom.
The one thing that you have to remember about the plates is that they always are moving and it is one huge cycle.
If you mean tetonic plates, then no, sliding tetonic plates cause earthquakes.
earthquakes cause fires and tsunamis. earthquakes are caused either ice bergs falling down from somewhere e.g iceland or antarctica, or from the tetonic plates clashing together, or they go after volcanic eruptions
the tectonic plates can cause earthquakes because they can move three different ways. there are some called divergent, convergent and transform. they can sometimes even do some subduction or even rise up that is also how mountains are made.
The cause is that people respect them (HOPEFULLY)
well that's easy volcanoes,earthquacke's and tsunami's
It is a natural disaster caused by the shifting of plates and earthquakes. It cause destruction and havoc.
An avalanche can cause a disaster.
The plate tectonic theory is the belief that the earth's surface moves gradually over time and is not fixed. The theory holds true to the evidence of earthquakes which are the result of plates moving in opposite directions against each other.
Actually colliding plates cause earthquakes
Colliding plates cause mountain ranges to grow.
cause of disaster
An earthquake is a geological disaster caused by the shifting of tectonic plates beneath the Earth's surface, resulting in the sudden release of energy that creates seismic waves. These seismic waves can cause destruction to buildings, infrastructure, and landscapes above ground.
