How do the gifts of the Holy Spirit challenge you as you interact with your peers?

Outcome 1: Know that the Holy Spirit is present to them as a helper.

Fortitude: When you have Fortitude you don't give up and part of it is because you know that the Holy Spirit is your helper. The Holy Spirit helps me and my peers have Fortitudewhen I must face difficult situations. In our life we have very many complicated relationships, work problems, and health problems but when you do not have Fortitude you give up, and don't continue with your priorities, wishes, desires and/or goals. When you are determined to do something good the Holy Spirit is there to help you get through it no matter how hard it is.

Knowledge: Knowledge means being aware of the world God has created. That means understanding how things work in the world. With the gift of Knowledge, the Holy Spirit is present to you as a helper because sometimes you see things as just things. For example sometimes you feel like being mischievous and you don't realize that if you destroy something you're destroying God's creations. Your actions are always your responsibility but the Holy Spirit is always there as guidance for you and your peers, but it's up to you to use your Knowledge to see how understand how things should be.

Wisdom: Wisdom means being able to see things the way God wants them to be. For example not judging somebody by something you "think" happened but you're not sure about. The Holy Spirit to me is like my conscience, when I could potentially be thinking about doing something bad my conscience stops me from doing it because it knows that, that is not what God would want me to do. God would always want me and my peers to do well. The Wisdom that my peers and I have been given is powered by the Holy Spirit, this is how we see things the way God wants them to be, although very often they are not done as so, we always have the Voice that tells us the right thing, it is from then on that we can decide to listen or to do what we know is wrong.

Understanding: Understanding means seeing the way things really are and responding the way God would want you to. The Holy Spirit for the most part works as your guidance and conscience. For example sometimes you lose a pen and a friend suddenly seems to have the same pen you have, most of the time you would assume that they took your pen but being Understandingwould mean that you wouldn't judge them because you don't know that they took your pen. The Holy Spirit is there to help you strengthen your gift of Understanding and see things the way God chooses.

Counsel: Counsel means helping change things to the way God wants them to be by making good choices and judging correctly. We (the human race) have changed the world A LOT from the BC era to now (the present). Most things we have done have had both ups and downs for example the creation of cars has created a *ton* of pollution and accidents, but it has had ups like faster travel and it is used for emergency reasons. Using Counselwe can make choices that God wants us to choose to make the world a better place and try and improve and fix the problems we have created like war. The Holy Spirit is here to help us with this.

Piety: Piety means being *headstrong* about your beliefs, you never question what happens to you. For example if a family member gets sick or you break your Xbox you don't say "why would you do this to me God??" because you know that everything happens for a reason and you know that God is always looking for the best for you. The Holy Spirit is what helps you be *headstrong* other than your attitude, for example sometimes on Sundays you just feel too lazy to go to Church but your willingness pushes you that extra mile so you go to church, that's the Holy Spirit pushing you closer to God.

Fear of the Lord: Fear of the Lord means knowing that God is the only person that deserves our trust and commitment. It means believing that God's plan is much bigger than anything we can see, and that even though we do not know what is going on, God is working for the best. It means that believing in God is infinitely wiser, more loving and more powerful than we are. The Holy Spirit helps us show our trust and worship for God by keeping our faith strong when we most need it like when we are in a time of need, although this is the time where most people resort to use God for help we should be always worshiping God and thanking him through prayer and going to church. The Holy Spirit helps my peers and I do this as often as possible although it will only work if you decide you want to listen to the Holy Spirit.

When the Spirit is mentioned in the Book of Mormon to what Spirit does it reference?

In the Book of Mormon, the "Spirit" is the Holy Spirit or Holy Ghost, one of the three members of the Godhead (along with God the Father and Jesus Christ). Generally, the Book of Mormon will use the titles "Spirit of the Lord" or "Spirit of God". The Book of Mormon also references the "Great Spirit", which is the name used by some Lamanites when talking about God, a tradition which most of them were unfamiliar with. When the word "spirit" is not capitalized, it may be referring to the spirit or soul of an individual or to one of the gifts of the Holy Spirit (ie 'the spirit of prophesy' or 'the spirit of wisdom'.) Occassionally it is also used in a more general way about the overal attitude of a group of people (ie 'they had the spirit of judgement').
