How do the Ten Commandments impact the lives of Christians?

A great number of modern professing so-called "Christian" denominations in the world would tell you that: "the Commandments have been done away"... and are of no importance at all! And that: "Only FAITH IN CHRIST is important."

This kind of thinking comes straight out of Satan's book [figuratively speaking] of "lawlessness"... iniquity... evil... SIN. Because God's Word, The Bible, tells us that: "...SIN IS the TRANSGRESSION OF THE LAW." (I John 3:4)

The "Law," which defines sin, being the "Ten Commandments"... [see Rom.7:7].

The first two people God created [by Jesus Christ, the WORD of God, whom John tells us: "All things [the universe] WERE MADE BY HIM; and without Him WAS NOT ANY THING MADE THAT WAS MADE." - John 1:3] were given planet earth by Him, to keep and maintain... to landscape and plant and be prosperous and rear their children.

Most of modern professing "Christianity" doesn't seem to know this... because the vast majority of them have never read or studied the Bible... and doesn't know what it says.

The first two people God created took this world that God the WORD gave to them... and GAVE IT TO SATAN! They BROKE THE FIRST COMMANDMENT: "Thou shalt have no other gods before Me"... and obeyed and worshiped THAT OLD SERPENT: "...called the Devil, or Satan, THE ONE DECEIVING THE WHOLE WORLD..." (Rev.12:9 NLT New Living Translation)

The result of it all was that Satan was handed his sovereign authority and power over all the earth, mankind, all of its future governments [see Luke 4:5-6]... and ALL OF ITS [false] RELIGIONS!

In other words... most of modern professing "Christianity" is FALSE RELIGION, like all the other prominent and recognized religions in the world. It was Jesus' FIRST WARNING Jesus gives to His disciples and church in His Word:

"...'Don't let anyone mislead you. For MANY WILL COME IN MY NAME, saying, "I AM THE MESSIAH.' They will lead many astray.'" (Matt.24:4-5 NLT)

This warning is, chronologically speaking, the meaning of the FIRST SEAL Jesus strips off of the book or "scroll" in Revelation 6 -- the conquering of man's spirit through false religious dogma; including a religion that poses [on the white horse] as "Christ" [see Rev.19:11] claiming to represent Christ [I am the Christ]:

"And I looked and a white horse appeared, and its rider carried a bow; and a victor's wreath was given to him; and he went out conquering and in order to conquer." (Rev.6:2 WEYWeymouth's New Testament)

The upshot of this is to know that the Ten Commandments are for ALL OF MANKIND [whom Jesus Christ, the WORD created]... not just a religious faction in the world called "Christianity."

A study of the Ten Commandments reveals that "the law is spiritual"... not physical.

"For we know that the Law is a spiritual thing; but I am un-spiritual [physical, mortal; flesh and blood] - the slave, bought and sold [to Satan by the first two people made], of sin." (Rom.7:14 WEY)

Satan has most people blinded to the phenomenal result of OBEDIENCE TO THE TEN COMMANDMENTS! NOBODY GIVES IT MUCH THOUGHT, because we're all too busy worrying about ourselves, instead of the well-being of others -- which is what the Commandments are all about: LOVE! Selfless, outgoing care and concern for others that's equal to our "love of the self."

The world doesn't stop to consider [probably because no one can begin to imagine it]: WHAT WOULD THE WORLD BE LIKE IF NO ONE MURDERED ANYONE? What if NO ONE LIED? What if NO ONE STOLE anything? What if married couples were FAITHFUL to one another? What if NO ONE COVETED the possessions of others? What if GOD'S NAME WERE RESPECTED and REVERED and people FEARED TO UTTER IT DISRESPECTFULLY? What if God's SABBATH DAY WAS OBSERVED EVERY SEVENTH DAY of God's Divinely-inspired week, by all the world, and all of mankind REMEMBERED CREATION... instead of forgetting God and all that He has made? What if MEN WORSHIPED ONLY HIS CREATOR instead all the things He, or all the things the hands of men, HAVE MADE?

What it would all mean, of course, is that this would be A CHANGED WORLD... for the better!

The "lawless" god that man chose to worship, however, can never allow that kind of world to exist.

And that's where "Christians" come in. Christians who KEEP THE COMMANDMENTS OF CHRIST. Those who, through their Faith in Jesus' name, LOVE HIM... and ONE ANOTHER... and WANT TO SHOW THE WORLD THAT LOVE. The Love that will exist in the New Heavens and the New Earth that's coming at the end of God's immediate plan.

"Here is an opportunity for ENDURANCE ON THE PART OF GOD's PEOPLE, who carefully KEEP HIS COMMANDMENTS and THE FAITH OF JESUS! '" (Rev.14:12 WEY)

So, the importance of the Ten Commandments in "Christian life" is just that! It's LIFE ETERNAL! It's living Life the RIGHT WAY, the SELFLESS WAY, the LOVING WAY, the GIVING WAY.

"'Teacher,' said one man, coming up to Him [Jesus], 'what that is good shall I do in order to win the Life of the Ages?' [Eternal Life] 'Why do you ask Me,' He replied, 'about what is good? There is only One who is Truly good. But if you desire to enter into Life, KEEP THE COMMANDMENTS.'" (Matt.19:16-17 WEY)

Entire generations of deceived Christians, including false modern professing Christianity, doesn't know that God is training His "chosen, called-out-ones" to OVERCOME the pulls of the flesh and the world to sin, TO LEARN TO OBEY HIS COMMANDMENTS... LEARN TO SELFLESSLY LOVE, so that when He returns to earth to establish His Kingdom here... HE WILL HAVE A FULL CONTINGENT OF TRAINED RULERS, KINGS and PRIESTS to occupy the offices of rulership in His Kingdom OVER THE NATIONS OF THE EARTH!

It's an "importance" that many so-called "Christian" denominations in this world know nothing about... because they have "done away" with God's Commandments in their hearts and minds and denominational dogma. They teach instead "grace" and "mercy."

Which is not a bad thing. They just don't understand that God COMMANDS OBEDIENCE to His Law. And they don't seem to know that God's Grace and Mercy are INCLUDED IN HIS LAW!

"...I do not leave unpunished THE SINS [disobedience to the Commandments - I John 3:4] of THOSE WHO HATE ME, but I punish the children for the sins of their parents to the third and fourth generations. But I LAVISH MY LOVE on THOSE WHO LOVE ME and OBEY MY COMMANDS, even for a thousand generations." (Ex.20:5-6 NLT - Second Commandment)

True "Christians" are [or should be] working toward the perfection, through Christ's personal, intimate training, of their FUTURE POSITIONS OF AUTHORITY AND RULERSHIP over the nations of the world when He returns with His Kingdom... to co-rule that Kingdom WITH CHRIST for a thousand years!

"...they came to Life and were Kings with Christ for a thousand years. No one else who was dead rose to Life until the thousand years were at an end. THIS IS THE FIRST RESURRECTION. Blessed and Holy are those who share in the First Resurrection. The Second Death has no power over them, but they shall be Priests to God [the Father] and to Christ, and shall be Kings with Christ for the thousand years." (Rev.20:4-6 WEY)

How can multiple thousands of deceived modern professing "Christians" who have "done away" with God's Laws in their hearts and minds prepare themselves to rule over and teach the nations God's Love?

They can't! Because the Ten Commandments are GOD'S LAW OF LOVE! Jesus says they reveal LOVE TOWARD GOD and LOVE TOWARD YOUR NEIGHBOR: don't murder anyone, don't steal from anyone, don't lie to anyone, be loyal to everyone, etc..

"'You are My friends, IF YOU DO WHAT I COMMAND YOU... Thus, I COMMAND YOU TO LOVE ONE ANOTHER." (John 15:14 & 17 WEY)

And how do you "Love" one another? By KEEPING THE COMMANDMENTS!

This world doesn't keep God's Commandments... it HATES them [Look at the concentrated efforts of government to ban them from public view; along with Jesus' name: and this, from the once-greatest nation on earth, America]. It's the rare few God is calling out from among the generations of man [True Christians], to whom God's Law is important. These people know keeping the Commandments are for THEIR BENEFIT... for the building, growing and nourishment of THEIR CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT, now -- so that when Christ returns, they might teach the nations God's ways, THEN.

Then, when the Holy Spirit will flow freely around the world... and Satan and his demons will be removed from influencing the nations for a thousand years.

That's when God will not "write His Laws on stones" as He did in the OLD COVENANT... but in the fleshy hearts and minds of people:

"...a Covenant unlike the one which I made with their forefathers... But this is the Covenant that I will make with the House of Israel after those days [when Christ returns],' says the LORD: I will PUT MY LAWS INTO THEIR MINDS and will WRITE THEM UPON THEIR HEARTS. And I will indeed be their God and they shall be My People." (Heb.8:9-10 WEY)

"...I will give them singleness of heart and PUT A NEW SPIRIT WITHIN THEM [the Holy Spirit]. I will take away their HEARTS OF STONE and give them TENDER HEARTS instead, so THEY WILL OBEY MY LAWS and regulations. Then they will TRULY BE MY PEOPLE, and I will be their God." (Ezek.11:19-20 NLT)

Learning to LOVE OTHERS as God Loves the Children of His future Family... to emulate Christ's SELFLESS Love for His creation... should be the most important thing toward which a True Christian strives. But to do that... they have to recognize that God's Ten Commandments DEFINE GOD'S LOVE to His creation.

Not the "breaking of them"... but the "keeping of them." The BREAKING of them defines SIN [I John 3:4]! It's the KEEPING of them that defines LOVE.

The importance of this to a True Christian is for THEIR BENEFIT, now, toward their own personal, intimate Righteous Character Development, through their Faith and Trust in Jesus Christ. Some of this might "rub off" in a positive way on others in this life. But for the most part... the world will not care:

"If the world hates you, remember that it has first HAD ME as the FIXED OBJECT of its hatred... But because you do not belong to the world, and I have chosen you out of the world - FOR THAT REASON the world hates you... If they have persecuted Me, they will also persecute you: if THEY HAVE OBEYED My teaching, they will obey yours also. But they will inflict all this suffering upon you on account of YOUR BEARING MY NAME - because they do not know Him who sent Me." (John 15:18-21 WEY)

The importance of the Ten Commandments is for THE WHOLE WORLD to know and obey. But the ultimate importance of keeping them... to Christians and every generation that has ever lived... is to be reborn into Eternal Life as a member of the future Divine, Immortal Family of God.

"...To those who are thirsty I will give the privilege of drinking from the well of the Water of Life without payment. All this shall be the heritage of him who overcomes, and I will be his God and HE SHALL BE ONE OF MY SONS." (Rev.21:6-7 WEY)

It is used by christians as a way to live godly lives ,even the law has some of them today.
