They enter a stage of homeostasis, where the chemical reactions become equal enough to balance. I.e. suffiecent amounts of phosphuros to replenish the ADP chain to ATP and resythnesis the chemical compound to once again release energy. Upon steady state the cardiovascular system will react in several ways, mainly the cardiac out put will change. The reason for this is due to the increased demand for o2 for the muscles, requiring faster heart contractions and increased stroke volume, to transport more blood at a faster pace. Whilst the blood pressure is increased due to the increased amount of blood and the speed, of which this can be controlled via vasodilatation and vasoconstriction. Venous return is also increased due to the increased heart rate, however with the constant contractions through muscles (this may increase the venous return). Starling's law states that the stroke volume is limited towards the venous return, of which is the amount of the blood that is available to enter the left atrium and pass to the left ventricle However all these factors should essentially stay the same if the environment and intensities do not vary, as well as keeping a constant hydration level. The respiratory systems is affected in several ways; Upon steady state the tidal volume begins to balance out as the body becomes adapted towards the level of exercise, this is also the same as the breathing rate. However the PH of the gases which are exhaled may be altered depending on the level of intensity, they will become neutralised within steady state as there is sufficient amounts of o2 to balance the PH levels, consequently due to the exercise intensity the body's temperature will increase causing the temperature to increase. With relation to the oxygen dissociation curve this suggests that as the phosphate increases, the level of temperature and PH level will increase together towards the right side of the curve, whereas if the levels decrease they will move towards the left side.
