they make it by motion sensors, they make suits with motions sensors on them,for example,nba 2k10,they put the suit on Kobe Bryant and he'll make his regular motions and........ BOOM the games out
Mostly the last video sports video game engine people made was in 1998 (I think)
when the playstaion 2 came out, but they pretty much use the same engine and just polish it up and maybe do a few adjustments. that's why making a sports video game is so easy. But although they also made a new sports engine for PS3 also. that's why it loks better than the PS2 engine.
