Tornadoes can damage and destroy homes, businesses, and property. They can also injure and kill people. The effects vary depending on the tornado. In the most minor cases the effects can be limited to power outages, minor damage to buildings, and roads blocked by fallen trees. The worst tornadoes can destroy most, if not all of the buildings in a town, killing or injuring many people in the process. Hospitals may be overwhelmed by the injures and forced to triage. Such major disasters require a massive recovery effort, followed by the need to rebuild. Many people may choose to leave rather than rebuild in the same place.

Tornadoes can have many disastrous impacts on humans. First of all they damage many things such as property, crops, and resources. They can cause lack of gasoline and, in some rural places, lack of water. They can tear apart families and cause an anxiety that brings out the worst in people. If any of this isn't helping you, you should either look it up on Google or your local library. (but im confident this is good info!!!!)

Tornadoes can reduce the population of an area by killing people, but this effect is usually small as it is unusual for any single tornado to kill more than 10, and most tornadoes do not kill at all.

In other cases an area's population may drop as people abandon it after a tornado. An example of this is the tiny town of Manchester, South Dakota, which was destroyed by an F4 tornado on June 24, 2003. Although there were no deaths the town was never rebuilt.
