What does internal temperature mean?
Internal temperature is the temperature at or near the center of an object. The internal temperature is very important in cooking things like roasts, chickens, turkeys, etc. There are situations where outside temperature may be quite warm, but internal temperature may be quite cool. Things are to be cooked until the internal temperature is hot, often for some period of time.

What is thermoregulation?
Thermoregulation is the term we give to "temperature control" or the like. For example, the human body likes to run at an internal temperature of 98.6 degrees Fahrenheit. And we have mechanisms within us that control our internal temperature. The biochemical structures that accomplish this are collectively termed the thermoregulation mechanism of the body.
