Are the keys in the ignition? If so all you have to do is take them out when you open the door.
The fuel pump coming on. Most cars prime the pump when you turn the key on, but VW does it when you open the door.
The door lock actuator is going bad.
The driver. You can close the door on your way off
More than likely the gears are stripping on the door lock actuator and will soon fail to work.
I have the same problem on my 05' Sienna. My mechanic showed me that it was the door hinge making the noise (soon your window will not open unless door is open). My mechanic said he has seen this before, but Toyota dealer has to fix it. They want $1K to fix, so we are living with it. Toyota is going down hill.
This is the 1st indicator that the POWER LOCK Motor is about top go out. If it is grinding on open & close then more than likely the teeth are grinding down on the gears. Replacing A.S.A.P. will eliminate the possibility of the Driver being locked out by remote and reling on the key to unlock for entry.
To program a Toyota Camry key first open the driver's side door and close all other doors. Insert the key into the ignition two times within five seconds. Close than open the driver's side door. Put your key in ignition and pull it out quickly. Close driver's door and open it. Put the key back in the ignition, close the door and put the key to the "on" position. Remove from ignition than listen for the door locks to cycle.
To close the door with a loud bang is 'claquer la porte' in French. In comic strips, the noise would be figured by a big "VLAM!" or "SLAM!"
Try checking the switches on the door frames. The switches are spring loaded; when you close the door it breaks the contact. Start with the driver's door. The driver's door receives the most use. Also: the switch can break and fall into the door pillar.
Driver side inside of frame rail, in front of gas tank. Located close door post for driver door underneath.
Located on dash by driver side wiper, close to pillar. Driver side door placard.
