Best Answer

the 2 types are known as

potential and kinetic

if an object is held , high up, it has a form of potential energy due to its mass, and gravity ,

if the object is then dropped , it increases speed as it reached the ground,

and its potential energy would be its greatest amount ,

when the object hits the ground,

the moment it does so; the potential energy is changed or converted into

kinetic, which transferrs the power to the ground and is converted into a

form of " sound "
