It can affect your brain positively or negative. This depends on a lot of factors.
If you know the difference between reality and fiction, then games are a very great way to relax and spend time, however too much causes addiction. More than 3 hours a day shouln't be permited. They also adjust your memory, reflexes and eyesight positively.
But Video Games can also affect your work or school performance. Why? Games are fast paced and fun while work is slow and boring...Measures of moderation should be taken if the following happens.
Also video games can set positive or negative models for young children... He/she would want to be a soldier in a war or he/she would want to be a racecar driver. He/she would want to be an athlete or he/she would want to be an intelligent detective. This motivates them and can actually influence them to take good grades and become succesfull.
It depends on what type of game
I will use the video game "Grand Theft Auto" as a reference
In Grand Theft Auto it is your job to cause murder and mayhem and you get rewards for that behavior, that teaches people that killing people, car jacking people, and robbery is ok and will get them rewards, but if they play the video game "The Sims" it doesn't teach them anything really, because in The Sims it is your job to take care of virtual and fictional people, so it all depends on the game that they play.
increased motor skill
decreased intelegence <-----------depends on the game
Recent scientific tests have shown that video games actually improve hand/eye co-ordination in the young and can help with problem solving abilities.
no, i hate when people say "video games rot your brain"
I agree. For example, People who play "Super Mario Galaxy" learn about Physics better than taking a test on Physics. The reason is because it is more interactive.
Video games can have a positive effect on brain cells by helping to improve the memory. Negative effects can result from playing too much video games by damaging the motor skills in the brain.
Video games teach you to do things in the real world that are only ok in the virtual world, for example, the Grand Theft Auto game was sued because a 16 year old went on a shooting spree in a mall after playing the game and thinking it was alright, however some games don't teach that, "The Sims" is a game where you take care of virtual people and it doesn't teach them much only that virtual people need to go to the toilet a lot (if you play the game, you would know what I'm talking about)
Video games have no effect on brainity since brainity is not something that exists, it is not even a word.
On the other hand, video games have been shown to improve hand-eye coordination skills. Also, depending on the types of games they can improve multitasking, problem solving, critical thinking and in some cases team work.
As an interactive medium, video games have the potential to teach and exercise a wide range of mental skills. The key however is to realize that there are a wide range of games and than examine the qualities involved with that particular game which may be beneficial. There are of course many time wasters that are of very little value to improving brain function.
video games mess up your brain when you play alot it roots it so i would reccomond to play on weekends
how does board games effect your brain
all of it
Makes your brain to tell you to do the same thing.
because it gets into your mind and that's all u think about. trust me. its happend.
No
well, if the question is implying that video game usage accelerates the death of brain cells that is untrue. the cells will most likely continue to die at a natural rate. actually i would expect brain activety to be stimulated and improved.
YES!!
You may learn some and spoil your brain. Baisically learning, will destroying your brain.
Video games increase your hand eye coordination. So I guess you could say that it helps the brain work.
Ask your teacher
No, violent video games have not been proven to kill brain cells any faster than they normally die off.
Age has numerous factors toward brain attention, maturity, learning and memory no specific one age can determine the overall skill or performance of someone's ability to play a game, so NO age does not have a direct effect on how people play video games.
