The debate on that subject is huge. It would certainly lessen the amount of gun-related crime, but at the expense of the citizens' "security" against the government. --- No, it wouldn't. Then again, it's not safe now. Still, I think it likely to be less safe without guns. America is one of the safer places on earth and it has always had guns.
