Wolves in the deert enviroment have larger ears to circulate cooler blood, shorter fur and are overall more a scaverger than a pack-hunter (e.g. the Ethiopian Wolf - though said to be a jackel- hunt alone, feasting off small mice then regrouping as a pack to sleep, rest and socialise).
