Make sure you have the latest Firmware installed on the GPS.
(you need to use windows to upgrade the Firmware)
Connect the GPS to your computer via USB and turn it on. Back up your data to your computer, your computer will read the GPS as an external disk. I just copied over the .POI and.IMI files in the MAP folder on the GPS file directory.
Disconnect the GPS like you would any other storage drive.
restart the GPS
thats it I should work, mine did and I used a Mac Book Pro with macOsX10.6
Sorry. Your Magellan is expecting Magellan software.
According to the Magellan Phone representative, the 3225 does not have any Europe maps available.
There are several models of voice activated navigation devices. For example Garmin Nuvi 880 GPS has a voice activation function. The Navigon 7200T, TomTom GO 930 GPS, and the Magellan Maestro 4250 also support voice activation.
The Magellan 3100 already comes preloaded, the USB cable is only for updating the firmware. ******************** 23.12.2007 ******************** More information on how to tweek your Magellan 3100 here: http://www.gpspassion.com/forumsen/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=102368 http://forums.anandtech.com/messageview.aspx?catid=66&threadid=2120938&highlight_key=y&keyword1=3225+GPS
Yes. Updates are available at www.magellangps.com. You'll need to register at the site. I just bought a 3140 and it came with 1.x firmware. The Magellan site has 2.x which runs MUCH better and fixed the name of my road too. Check under "Support" page at the site, and follow along. May need to use the "Maggie" AI tool at the site to select your Maestro 3140. Then she'll give you some options. When you find a 60MB download, that's the one. Instructions are included in the ZIP file. Basically, unzip the files, run the .EXE, connect the 3140 via supplied USB cable to your PC and follow along. *DO NOT* loose power during the upgrade or the unit *WILL BE* unusable. FULLY charged internal battery or use the 12V car adapter.

The popular song "Yo Soy Tu Maestro" was recorded by Los Telez. The song can be listened to for free on YouTube or purchased and downloaded off of iTunes.

Consumer Reports like the feel, the look and the portability of the Magellan Sporttrak GPS. The highlight the benefit of seeing the street names in the upcoming intersections. Yes. After plugging it in, hold down the unit's power button for about 3 seconds. It should turn off (or standby anyway).
maestro = master
