You have to go to the passenger side and under the glove box there are three Philips screws, take them out and you will find a square box , inside it is the fan. There are three or four torx and some electric wires, disconect them and take the fan out. You can blow it with compressed air and then lubricate it with oil in both sides.
You can lubricate a ceiling fan with WD-40. Just spray the lubricant on the fan where the motor spins. Make sure the fan is turned off first.

I have similar problem... I am working on it, chances aqre the blower motor had stacked up? I will lubricate it with brake fluid.... it is good for removing rust, I have done this with my 86 Mercedes Benz and it works wonder? I exdpect to find a blown series resistors that works as speed controller?
