Remove the instrument panel silencer from the passenger side of the instrument panel.
Disconnect the wire harness connector from the blower motor.
Remove the three screws that secure the blower motor to the HVAC housing.
Remove the blower motor from the HVAC housing by rotating and tilting the motor as needed for clearance of the blower wheel....

Remove the recirculating door actuator, the seven screws and then remove the complete recirculating housing.. Remove the three blower motor attaching screws.. Remove the blower motor...

Removing the glove box makes things easier but is not required. 1.) disconnect the blower motor power cord. 2.) locate the retaining tab and gently pul down while twisting the blower motor housing clockwise. Remove the wiring harness from the back of the blower motor in your 1993 GMC 1500. Remove the blower motor retaining bolts. If the new blower motor does not have the fan attached to and you will need to remove the fan from the old blower motor. Reverse the process to install the new blower motor.
