  1. Remove the ashtray from it's sliding bracket by disengaging two tangs at the back and sliding forward and out.
  2. Remove the ashtray bracket by removing two bolts on either side (4 total) and disconnecting the power to the lighter contacts.
  3. Remove the radio knobs with an Allen wrench. Use care to save the springs sandwiched between the inner and outer knobs.
  4. Using long needle-nose pliers, remove the spanner nut around the radio volume and tuning knob shafts.
  5. Disconnect the dashboard lamp, 5-connector socket, front speakers (1 for mono, two for stereo), rear speaker (stereo only), and amplifier cable (stereo only).
  6. Remove single bolt on rear passenger side of radio. Radio will be free to come out backwards.
  7. Remove downwards under dash. If there are other accessories below the radio, it might be easier to remove the dash pad and center vent duct, then lift the radio through the top of the dash.

1968 is when Cadillac introduced its new 472 cu inch 8 cylinder 525 ft lbs torque engine. In 1969 a larger 500 cu inch version was available. It was the only engine Cadillac offered from 1968 to 1972.

Are 1966-1968 Cadillac fenders the same?

No they are not. 1968 fenders are different than 1965, 66 or 67. The side marker lamps are different. Take a look at a picture of a 1968 cadillac and a 1967 cadillac to see the differences.

What is the 0-60 time for a Cadillac deville?

The question has many correct answers as the Deville model saw no fewer than a two-dozen different engine sizes and configurations over its production run from 1949 to 2005. For example in 1968 the Deville was clocked at 8.5 seconds 0-60. However, the older models were no doubt not as swift while later models would most likely out-perform their older cousins.
