The fuel pump is located inside the fuel tank. Replacing it will require you to drop the fuel tank. A Haynes or Chilton manual will give you step by step directions and photos.

No you do not.
Relieve the fuel pump pressure. Remove the fuel tank and on the top is the fuel pump module. Remove the module and replace with a new one.
Drop the fuel tank
tug the hose Drop the fuel tank, disconnect lines, remove pump and unit, reverse procedure to install.
