Try to gather up courage and approach the person with no fear. Their is nothing to be afraid of. Then ask how their day was. If they say "fine", try to get them to expand on it. For example say "What did you do today?", when they say something you find interest to, say "_____ huh? How did that go?" or something along those lines. If the person says "Nothing much.", try to expand on your day. Say something you did today that was interesting. If that doesn't work,try to start a new conversation, talk about something he/she is wearing or holding, or something you saw on the news. If nothing works, maybe you and him/her wouldn't have made a good match anyways. Just keep cool. :)
