See details at http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site.wss/MIGR-58625.html#s3 You may need to disable the internal LCD to make the overlay work on the S-Video port If the DVD still doesn't play, try a different video player such as VLC Media Player.
Yes it can even play those burnt on my PC from my Media Center TV program recordings
HD DVDS are DVDs that can be played on high definition TV players. The regular DVD can be played on any TV and is not in the same definition as the HD DVDs.
The Xbox 360 is not made to play Blu-ray DVDs. It will only play standard DVDs and this is likely the source of your problem.
Yes, as long as you have a 3D Vizio TV and a 3D blu-ray player.
No some DVDs are restricted to certain regions and others might not be readable by the PS3. My PS3 has no trouble reading the DVDs I make of TV programs I record on my Media Center computer and it upgrades them to near HD quality. It also played the DVDs I rented better than my DVD/VCR.
You can, as long as you have the player, but it will not look even 1/5th as good as what it should.
absolutely. the hdmi aspect of it is simply just the connection to the tv. it will play reg dvds, it will no play blu-ray unless specified.
The Haier TV does not record the DVD through the TV, however it will play recorded DVD when it comes to Record DVD;s.
No. Blu-Ray discs are not DVDs and they will only work on Blu-Ray players. But there are portable Blu-Ray players
The VocoPro DVDduet can play DVDs connect to a TV or monitor, but there is no camera feature that allows it to capture video of you.
Yes, but you'll need an "upconverting" DVD player that can enlarge the size of the image of your DVDs to look OK on the HDTV. Look for a player that says "1080p" for its upconverting resolution.
PlayStation 3 will Play Blu Ray discs, it will also upgrade the DVDs to 1080p and play the DVDs with much better quality than a player that does not have the upgrade capability. I no longer use my DVD player to play any of the DVDs and only use the PlayStation 3 to play everything. I use my computer to record some shows while I am watching other shows. I then transfer them to DVD and also play them through the PS3. When I am watching the shows I am very impressed with how fast the PS3 can skip over the commercials in the fast forward at speeds of 1.5, 10, 30, and 120. It also has sound at the 1.5 speed and I have found than option useful. Because I have a Sony BR6 TV I don't even have to use a controller for a remote to play the DVDs, or purchase the special PS3 remote because my TV remote will work on the PS3 from the HDMI sync on the TV. I just insert a disc into the PS3 and the TV and Remote switch over to the PlayStation 3. I should mention that even though the PS3 will upgrade the DVDs the picture quality of the Blu Ray is even better than anything I have seen on my TV including all the HD broadcast of Movies and TV shows that are only at 720P.
