To access the engine I had to Go through the dog house l. That's the Big engine cover between the Driver and passengers seats. There are latches on both sides and two screwn in the console behind the storage pannel. The radio is right above the pannel. There is also to screw in the bottm center which mine didd not serve any perpose. Then after you take of the top cover you have to swing the dog house out from the top. This is where it gets tricky . Ther is a vent tube , I'm not sure but I think it heater or fan tube of some sort. That will be in your way. I am trying at this moment to move it. I will let oyu know.
No, the GMC Vandura is a van. If you have the Starcraft conversion, the van is technically considered a station wagon for insurance purposes (much cheaper).
Most 3500 series GMC Vans will come with a 27 to 32 gallon tank, also depends on engine type. If you have access to a local dealer you can find out by bringing them your vin #, and they can tell you exactly what your van has!! GJZ.....owner of a 93 3500 vandura (32 gallon tank)
It does not take freon. The 1995 GMC Vandura uses the new R134a.

You need to identify the exact model of van. In 2004, GMC manufactured and marketed the Safari minivan, as well as the full sized Vandura.
