when you open the back door if you look where latch is you should be able to see a rectangle shape hole if you put your key in this and turn it you can activate/de activate the child locks

Child lock is probably on . take it to a shop and have them cut out the child locks. Most of the Metros had defective child locks. mine did. i couldn't never open the back doors . take it in . ... good luck.
