After reading your question, I attempted unsuccessfully to do this with my computer. The instructions I have say to click the start button and then open Internet Explorer. Next, click on the arrow in the search box. You should see Manage Search Providers (I couldn't find it so I hope you have better luck.).Click on that. Then click on the search provider that you want and set that as the default. You can then click close.
