If it is a gas Golf cart it has an alternator and if it is electric you have no need for an alternator. An alternator would require more power to turn that it would return to the batteries. So, you would get less distance out of the cart with an alternator installed. That is why electric carts do not come equipped with an alternator.
as i dontcare is to canddy

In the six cylinder the alternator holds the top left pulley for the serpentine belt. Directly underneath of where you add engine oil. In fact the pipe for adding engine oil is mounted to the alternator
12-14 miles per hour but their us upgrades you can get to make it go faster.
Is it the correct alternator for your vehicle? What are you working on? If you add a little more detail to your question I'm sure it will be simple to answer but we don't even know what you're working on.
Iphone, Puppy, Room Redone, Computer, Myspace/Facebook, Golfcart.
The power steering reservoir is underneath the alternator by the firewall.
see if you're fuses are blown or replace the spark coil
Power steering pump is located under the alternator on the driverside. Best way is to remove the alternator and add to the cold line. It is a pain, there is no really easy way.
You can do this although,Why would you want to? If you need extra power from the alternator then you can buy an alternator that has a higher output. Some cars do not allow you to upgrade to a higher output alternator though (My Mazda Protege5) In this case things get a little more complicated..... You must customize a mount for the second alternator (I removed my AC pump and put alternator there) This way I did not need another belt etc. Just had to make a custom mounting bracket. Then you will need to wire it up, which would be specific to your application.
Alternators are generally grounded through the alternator body to the engine block or head through the attaching bolts. On many cars I've owned I add a ground strap from the alternator body to the block to eliminate any chance of poor connections throught the mounting bracket.
on the v6, it is approx, 1 to 2 feet down below alternator at the firewall. most auto parts stores have extension hoses because it is very close to alternator. good-day !
