You can't add custom drawings (or picture-in-picture without a WMM plug-in effect for such) into a video clip in Windows Movie Maker.
You can however, add text to the video:
In the Time-line view of Windows Movie Maker:
> Click View, Tasks to bring up the Task Pane
> Under Edit, click on Titles and Credits
> Select where you want the text to appear (on, before, after the clip)
> In the space provided, type in the text you want to appear on the video
You will notice that the text appears with a preset animation on the right-side Preview pane. To adjust/change the animation, font, color of the text, use the links provided on the page. Each time you make a change, the preview will show the results.
> When you are satisfied with the results, click Add Title
Just below the Audio/Music track in the time-line, you will see the Title Overlay track. This is where you will find the text you just created. Drag it along the time-line to the spot you want the text to appear in the video. Clicking the end of the text and dragging it to the right will extend it (to be displayed on video clip longer).
Double-click the text on the Overlay Track to enter the edit mode again.
