Go to an auto parts store and get a can of r134a freon and a related tube with a pressure gauge (you can by these as a set usually). Attach the tube that you purchased to the LOW pressure side of the system which will be located under the hood, just behind the hood latch...labeled "L" on the screw off protective cap. Attach the quick connect on the hose that you purchased to the LOW pressure fitting and follow the directions...
Take it to the a auot shop. you can not add freon
You add freon to the low side fitting, top front,on the ac compressor
R12-if it has ac of course.
The low side port, which is the smaller one.
You can add Freon to your 2001 Buick Century air conditioning system through the low pressure port. The low pressure port can be found on the top of the air conditioner compressor.
In the low side ac service port.
freon usually goes on your condinser there should be a place to add collant on your condinser which is a silver cylinder
You do not want it to run on low freon as it will burn itself up. There is a low pressue switch that tells it not to run if the freon pressure is below a certain point. To make it run; add freon.
The easiest way is to add freon and an oil with a dye additive and use a florescent light and yellow goggles to pinpoint the leak/leaks........
Go to your local auto parts store. They will have kits with directions for you to do the job at home.
You don't add Freon as it has R134a not Freon. You add it to the low pressure side which is the larger hose.
Contains no Freon. Freon was banned beginning in 1996.
