Use R-134a and appropriate fill gauge. A chart on the container will display correct pressure based on outside air temperature. Locate LOW pressure fill port usually covered by a black or blue cap. The fill port will only accept the connector to the gauge and container; the connector is a slip-on device whereby you hold the outside portion of the connector while placing the inside portion on the fill valve then release the outside portion to lock-on to the fill gauge.
Prior to connecting the container of R-134a, pressure gauge, and connector, turn on full you air conditioning system while car engine running. Let air conditioning system run for a minute or more to pressurize.
Now attach connector to fill port. Monitor gauge until pressure reads appropriate pressure given outside air temperature then stop filling. Release connector from fill port and place cover cap back on filler port.
Let air conditioning run for five (5) or more minutes. You should feel very cold air blowing out of vents.
IF NOT, then a leak probably exists allowing R-134a to escape from air conditioning system. This could be from the compressor, the evaporate, hoses, and/or fittings. Take to a professional mechanic to diagnose problem and estimate cost of correction.
ALWAYS follow directions printed on the container of R-134a. Tilting container back and forth allows you to determine if container contains a good amount of R-134a. Remember to shut-off appropriate release valves connected to container to conserve R134a OR to empty container for appropriate disposal. Retain gauge, hose and connector for future use.

Take it to the a auot shop. you can not add freon
You can add Freon to your 2001 Buick Century air conditioning system through the low pressure port. The low pressure port can be found on the top of the air conditioner compressor.
Type "1991 Buick photos" into your search engine. If you are interested in a particular Buick Model then add that model such as "1991 Buick LeSabre photo".

7 to 7.5L of dexron 3
on the low side only
You add the refrigerant through the low side service port.
Purchase a recharge kit from your local auto parts store. It will come with instructions. Keep in mind if the system is low or empty, it will probably leak out again after you recharge.
You add refrigerant at the low pressure port but you do not add Freon. You add R134/134a. If you are having to add refrigerant then you have a leak that needs to be repaired first.
