You'd be adding refrigerant - it's only Freon if manufactured by DuPont and marketed under that name, as they own the copyright to that name.
But, to answer your question, you would first detect the source of your leak and repair it, unless you feel like needlessly repeating this process over and over again.
After that, you'd find the schrader valve on the low side of the system, attach your can of R134a refrigerant to it, and blast away. And hope that your compressor oil didn't leak out, as well, or you'll be having the system repaired soon enough.

First off your 2005 Dodge A/C system does not contain any Freon. It contains R134. Freon has not been used since 1995. Secondly you should not add refrigerant until the leak is repaired. Once it is repaired the system should be recharged by a professional with the proper tools and gauges.
Use a freon gauge and freon refill can. Connect the gauge to the low pressure ac port of the 2003 Stratus. With the engine running and ac on high, fill the system until the gauge shows full.
