How do I put freon in a 2002 Cadillac deville
In the low side ac service port.
Take it to the a auot shop. you can not add freon
The 1999 Olds Intrigue does have a dipstick. Use a funnel to add fluid as needed into the dipstick tube.
on the low side only
You add the refrigerant through the low side service port.
You add refrigerant at the low pressure port but you do not add Freon. You add R134/134a. If you are having to add refrigerant then you have a leak that needs to be repaired first.
It is either on or near the recievr dryer in the right rear of the engine compartment. To corrrectly add freon, you need gauges and a refrigerant recovery system
If low on Freon it will short cycle. Sensor knows it is low on pressure. Add freon and see if problem goes away.
It is most likely out of Freon, if this is the case you need to have a A/C certified technician add more. If you are out of Freon ask the technician to check for leaks while their at it. Its a fairly cheap fix and they shouldn't charge extra for looking for leaks. If this isn't the problem then it could be bad compressor, a blockage in the system, etc. No matter the problem A/C repairs by Law have to be done by a certified technician. Good Luck.
You don't add Freon as it has R134a not Freon. You add it to the low pressure side which is the larger hose.
Follow the suction side hose (larger one) from the accumulator to the evaporator and its very close to the firewall......
