This is a function held by site supervisors.
In the blue bar to the left of the page, under "Question tools," click on "Trash." You will be taken to a list of options as your reason for trashing a question; click on the "Adds no value" option, and then click on the "Continue" button at the bottom of the pop-up box.
Do you mean like this question that adds no value? Yes.
Ignoring a question is an answer of sorts...you can probably expect this particular question will be trashed for "Adds no value". How about asking some questions that do add value?...or answering some questions? That's what keeps this board alive.
If a question is redirected to "What questions add no value to WikiAnswers?", then it became an alternate to that question because it added no value. Questions like "Purple blue yellow ice cream?" will be merged into "What questions add no value to WikiAnswers?" because, as the question states, they do not add any value to the site.
A brand adds value to a product through their cost, distinction and reliability.
When WikiAnswers says you can ask anything, it is assumed you would ask a legitimate question which has a legitimate answer. Questions that are merged into "What questions add no value" are generally questions that are of no value to other people or simply make no sense.
Adds little to no value.
How much value it adds with depend on the square footage and how much curb apeal it adds. Learn more here http://www.ehow.com/how-does_4681409_sunroom-add-value-home.html
The categories that are open only for supervisors are the catch-all categories. Note: 'Catch-all Questions' the category, not the catch-all categories (e.x. 'Adds No Value') is able to be viewed by regular contributors and regular contributors have the ability to add questions there.
Questions which are too broad to answer (List the New York City phone directory?) or are designed to be trollish or insulting (Why is Johhny so fat?) or too specific to have a viable answer (What did such-and-so have for breakfast today?) are some examples as to what would fall under 'Adds No Value'.
You must know the rules to ask the question so you already know the answer and what happens if you continue to add questions that do not add value intentionally
That question adds no value since Answers is intended to be a collection of general information. Asking what grade someone is in is not a type of question that fits the format of the site. Any random person can answer your question, and many of those are adults who are not even in college. While it is a friendly question, it does nothing to add to the collection of information that this site helps build and showcase. Questions that only pertain to a single common or obscure person tend not to add value to the site.
On each question page, there is a left navigation panel. There is a "Discuss" page. However, you can add content to the existing answer if it adds to the current answer.
