You can award a Trust Point to a user by going to their profile and clicking on "Recommend Contributor." Trust Points are awarded to a member whose contributions you think are helpful, authentic, and worthwhile.

You can earn Trust Points by contributing to the site. Answer questions in categories in which you're knowledgeable or passionate! Give in depth answers, and validate your profile with links to your blog and/or Facebook that show your experience! Trust Points come with time and effort on Answers.com.

If the contributor who has answered your question has a lot of trust points, the chances of the answer being accurate are considerably high. If you feel that the answer is good and has given you all details you want, you can click on the link "recomment contributor" just beside the name of the person who answered it. This will add one trust point to the person who answered your question.

You can only recommend another contributor once because you already trust them - you shouldn't need to trust them more than you already do. This is also because it is to combat vandalism in Trust Points, as you can get a friend to trust you thousands of times so you can get thousands of trust points, and that isn't how you should earn trust points. Thus, only one recommendation per contributor.
