the E-Brake is located inside the rear rotor. to properly adjust it you have to remove rear rotor and adjust and readjust to correct adjustment.
You can adjust the rear brakes with the rear brake adjustment bolt. The rear brakes should adjust automatically every time you back up and use the brake.
There is a small access hole on the back side of both rear wheels. Inside there is an adjuster wheel for the brake shoes. Works similar to any drum brake adjustment.
The majority of time if you adjust the rear brakes it will adjust the park brake.
you dont adjust you replace brake shoes
look under truck on driver side between front and rear tires and u willsee adjusterbracket .unscrew locking nut and tighten other nut afew turns and check emergency brake,if it needs mmore screw in more .till it is right, then tighteh lock nut.
manualy adjust the brake calibur on rear brake slot located under rear axles on the inner brake cover.
at the rear brakes. remove wheels, & brake drums, adjust rear brakes to specs, and the E-brake will automatically be adjusted.
you must first adjust the rear drum brakes. then and only then can you adjust the cable for the parking brake at the base of the park brake pedal/handle. if you don't do the rear drums first, you will stretch the cable
turn the brake piston to adjust. adjust all the way down.

On a 2001 Ford Expedition : The right rear rotor would be the passenger side rear brake rotor ( rotors are used with disc brakes )
