make sure the cable adjustment is all the way off before you adjust the shoes which are inboard the rear rotor, there are specs for these but if you remove the tin cover at the rear of the shoe adjuster you can then poke a screwdriver or small brake adjuster in there an adjust till you cannot move the wheel, that will centre the h/brake shoes then back the adjuster off till the wheel spins free, then re/adjust your cable last ,,if you adjust your cable first you will only be adjusting one shoe not both ,,hope this does the job,, mick
there is no adjustment. need to get them serviced
There is none!
Ford stopped manufacturing the Falcon in 1970.
You don't, because an XF Falcon doesn't have rack and pinion steering. It has a steering box.
adjust inlet valve when exhaust valve just opens (you will see the rocker arm moving) adjust exhaust valve when inlet valve just closes do 1 cylinder at time to reduce stuff up factor this method works on all adjustable tappets & over cam engines and especially hi lift camshafts and the adjustment is taking place at the rear of the cam lobe

disconest the battery, remove the bolt in the adjuster arm then take out the 2 bolts from the gen. to engine gen mounting bar
There is no adjustment for hydraulic valve lifters. Lifters can be noisy on some of these models. After ascertaining there is no mechanical damage/broken parts, change engine oil and add 1/2 bottle of STP Oil Treatment (or more if necessary) until lifters are quieter.
the old four speeds have two band adjusters one on either side, but first is the car clunking shifting gears? if it is it the s5 shift solenoid inside the auto, common problem, only problem is there still about 150 bucks, to adjust the front band crack the 15/16 lock nut wind the centre adjuster till it goes firm, back of quarter of turn, then lock 15/16, the rear one is one and a half turns out, good luck
This is best left to a qualified mechanic with the appropriate tools, such as a timing light and test leads!
This is a fairly easy thing to do in words, but to actually do it is a bit challenging, if the door dropped, you should adjust the top hinge where it meets the pillar by loosening it and have a friend lift the rear of the door and retighten it, this is a very precise job, a few millimeters off and the door will not close, if there is no adjustment (the bolt holes should be oval), you will have to remove the door hinges and use shims between the hinges and the door, but this will mean the door is bent or the body is bent. Good luck
now this is tricky, I'm guessing its a six cylinder? now, there is a 13 mm lock nut on adjuster, crack it and wind it out about a full turn, don't undo all the way as u will strip the adjuster, then get a 15/16 spaner and turn adjuster behind lock nut about half a turn, then finger nip the 13 mm lock nut, repeat procedure until u get belt off, when u go to tighten, keep tension on 13mm nut, and use 15/16 to tighten adjuster, remember to keep tension on 13mm otherwise u will strip it, good luck
