under the back seat
adjust the idle screw on the drivers side of the throttle body turn it to the right to lower you idle turn to the left to raise it
There isn't a tv cable on the 96. GM replaced the 700R4 / 4L60 with the 4L60E transmission in 1993. They are electronic soleniod controlled transmissions thus eliminating the need for a tv cable.
Try to make your throttle cable tighter on the throttle body don't tighten it to much. My car does this when it's cold the cable has a plastic slip tube on the throttle cable on my 96 and that keeps lipping and then my idle drops all the way off usually stops at 900 rpm.
The throttle body injection is non adjustable and controlled by the pcm (computer) the throttle position sensor or TPS is adjustable but is normally set correctly at the factory. If you have changed it, there should be instruction on how to reset it properly
Yes.
If its in the same location as my 96 Bonneville, It would be on the throttle body :) Almost Right below the ECM and above you're Thermostat, If you now how to rev you're car from under the hood by pulling the cable, its connected to that. :)
Goto figure 11 Link. Shows a picture for 3.1L after 1993 from Autozone You also have to deal with a throttle cable housing right above it.
The IAC valve is located on the top/rear of the air intake plenum beside the throttle cable. You will need to look under the cowl to see it.
you dont
I have a 1995/96 ford aspire. During a emission testing the car failed due to a PO510 code - closed throttle position switch. What does that mean? And how do I fix it? Thanks
There is no cable its electronic speed sensor
