The water pump is the tensioner for the timing belt. if you need to adjust it, replace it.
It's the belt for the water pump.
There is no adjustment of the pump. You can adjust belt tension, by loosing and adjusting tension with the bolts holding it in place, but that is all.
This is a easy fix 1) shut the hood 2) Get friends to help push onto trailer 3) Get Tempo to nearest cliff 4) Get friends to help get car off trailer 5) Push car over cliff 6) Job complete
i know for a fact that a 93 tempo can be...the size belt is 62"

If your tensioner is "automatic", or spring loaded in other words. It is not adjustable in most cases. They are either good or bad. If the spring does not hold the belt tight any longer, the tensioner has to be replaced, no adjustments are able to be made.
u do not adjust belt tensioner if belt is loose, u need to replace belt as tensioner works automatically
The alternator is rotated on it's pivot to adjust belt tension.
