The Model 94 AE was introduced by the U.S. Repeating Arms Company (in 1983) after Winchester got out of the gun making business in 1981. Typical values run in the $150 - $350 range, and they are not considered "collectable". Their value lies in what somebody is willing to pay for a gun to hunt with.

Probably because Winchester never changed the Model number except by dropping the '18' around 1915. Sort of like having a Ford Mustang. A 1965 model and a 2005 model are both Mustangs, but they're not the same.
XTR as explained to me by a gun dealer was a designation used on several Winchester models in the later 1900's to indicate deluxe finishing features such as checkered grips on walnot and high gloss bluing. Hope someone else can answer what AE means.

My 94AE does have a pushbutton cross slide safety. It is one of the latest made in 356 Winchester, I bought it new after Winchester discontinued the 356 caliber. Also I have an interested buyer but he does't want the dies and supply of shells and bullets. Anyone interested?
whatever someone who wants it is willing to pay for it
