Is there going to be a Serious Explorers in 2012?
I recently emailed CBBC and they said that a new Serious Series was in development.

I don't know but i really want to apply for serious explorers 2012. I have no idea weather they are doing another series, apparently they told the raleigh group that it was the last one :/ i can on;y suggest what i'm doing, check all over the internet and make sure you look at the cbbc website (be on a show) every weekend (or everyday like i do haha)

Have there been auditions for serious explores 2012?
Yes. The BBC do not generally hold public audition for the Serious Explorers Series, they usually select school from around the country, and offer opportunities for the students to apply. I was one of those applicants for the 2012 series but was unsuccessful. Firstly you have to fill in a form saying why you want to be on the series, and if you are short listed from that you are then invited for audition which is filmed. After that, if successful, you have to complete another interview with the crew going on the expedition, and you are tested on an assault course. From this, a group are selected for the final section, which is filmed and out on tv
