You cannot apply Counter Strike zip files maps to the Counter Strike 1.6 exe. (Or rather, it is not recommended...)
Instead, download Winrar or, better yet, 7-Zip and unzip the file (the file should be located at the downloads directory.) Right click the file, find and click any of the unzip options, and the unzip process should begin. (If you want to know, I would recommend to unzip the file in a new separate folder/destination.) After this, click on the new folder, cut or copy all the files, and paste the files into the maps folder of Counter Strike. If you plan to play with bots, be aware that it will take time for the computer to analyze the new map.
