You really shouldn't ask. I am throwing a birthday party for my mother. She is turning 70. I plan on having a table with an artificial plant similar to a tree and have pins and ribbons at the base. You can put a little write up as to what it is and the custom behind it. Also have a couple of bills already pinned or tied to the tree. That way people can contribute which no rmally they do without having to verbally ask. Hope this helps and BEST of Luck!!
