The die sits inside the counterbore of the die stock. Two threaded bolts hold the die in place, while a third bolt set between the positions of the other two is used to open the die to required size. On larger metal diameters it would be preferable to set the die to cut a 'rough' size so as to leave a second cut to finish to size. If you imaagine the adjustment bolt at 12.00 o'clock the other two would be at 10 to and 10 past 12.
