Attracting butterflies involves incorporating plants that serve the needs of all life stages of the butterfly. The insects need places to lay eggs, food plants for their larvae (caterpillars), places to form chrysalides and nectar sources for adults.

∙ 13y agoyour stay still and then very slowly you walk over to it dont make any sundden movemants then your put out your arm slowly and let it crawl off the branch, flower or plant its stitting on onto your arm :D (that smile is my trade mark if u see it ive wrote this)

∙ 12y agothe easy way is to make sure its warm outside and that you are holding a flower and not moving to much or you have more than one flower (like sitting with flowers on you) they are attracted to flowers so will land on you

∙ 9y agoButterflies land on me a lot, so I know a bit. Its best off to wear bright colors so they are attracted to you. Then, if there's one flying around, hold your hand out and stand very still. If it lands on the floor, really slowly approach it and bend down, edging your hand towards the butterfly. It might help to have honey/ anything sweet on your hand that it can eat. If its on a plant/flower, you can put your hand under the flower and slowly move it upwards so its resting on your fingers. WARNING: DO NOT TOUCH THE BUTTERFLIES WINGS, IT WILL BREAK THEM SO THEY CANNOT FLY.
