How do you catch ecto the moshling?

To attract Ecto you need to plant three seeds in your garden and work out the correct combination to attract it. You can buy seeds from the stand on Main Street or at the Port.

To get Dustbin Beaver you have to subscribe to the Moshi Monsters Magazine. Check your email after your payment has been processed and you should have a one-time use, non-sharable code that will get you the Trashy Tulip seed. Plant the Trashy Tulip seed with any two other seeds and you will get Dustbin Beaver.

You can get a random moshling on Moshi Monsters if you plant any three seeds on Moshi Monsters. However, you may not get a moshling at all if you have not planted a combinations of seeds which will attract a moshling.

Go to Marshmallow Mountain and look around in the clouds for Ecto. If he is not there go somewhere else then come back. When you find him Colonel Catcher will say he needs some shade, so find an umbrella located on Marshmallow Mountain and a Spring. Combine them together then he will go under it. After that you need to find a key in that area and a chest and combine them and Ecto will join your zoo.
