i hate people who say stuff like " emo people are posers" and "there's a total age limit to emo". first: emo stands for EMOtion. People who truly are emo are usually more in touch with their own emotions and other people's emotions than simply 'scene' or 'goth' people. second: u shouldn't be mean to youth for feeling emotions stronger than other people and therefore possibly becoming emo. i have been emo since the 4th grade and i hated it when people were all "ur such a poser, whats ur problem?" and i was always haunted by 2 rhymes that chanted; the first being: "u cut urself like a cook cuts ham-" (and it's not true-emo people do not cut themselves) "ur as shy and stupid as a lamb. u wear black; black and ne-on, ur feelins r weird; weird and wro-ong" stupid, rite? and the second: "little Angelica Winters, cut her horse by the withers, cut herself, put her blood on the shelf and skipped merrily away." DO NOT JUDGE YOUNG EMO PEOPLE!!!!!

Depends what you mean. Do you want society to consider you emo or do you want to consider yourself emo? For society to consider you emo its easy. Wear all black and listen to intense Rock Music. If you want to consider yourself emo, just be yourself. Emo people are just EMOmotional.
