Research shows that sending your toddler or shutting it in another room is not beneficial to its health and mental development. Also baby gates are statistically proven to remind children of jail and being 'behind bars'. The best proven way to settle down children is get a spray bottle and every time you toddler is being naughty give him/her a short sharp spray, like you would do with a puppy. Make sure you get your child right in the face to make sure they don't do it again.
