The sword beam you get after you obtain 10 or 20 courage gems and take them to the spirit island to get the spirit of courage powered up. If you want a ships lazer, you have to go to cannon island and talk to eddo.

∙ 14y agogo to cannon island and go in the eddo's garage. talk to the dude and then go through the small door. then talk to the other dude and he'll call you a shrimp and tell you that the price for his cannon is a huge price. the price for the cannon is 50 rupees. you pay and get the cannon. Good Luck!
