You need to defeat him, I reccomend bringing a level 40-45 minstrel (you), a level 30-45 priest ( to heal you), a level 40-45 warrior, and anything of your choice accept mages. Watch out for his Hacking Away Like a Demon attack

How do you defeat goresby purrvis on dragon quest?
well, he's very hard to beat anyways. he's in the level 40's so you should close to level 50. i'm stupid anyways for trying to beat him on level 36 minstrel. his hack away like a demon will kill you within a few slashes. he has high attack and agility points sap him a few times. always protect your healer either priest, minstrel, or mage. his multislash will kill you. i'm not even going to try to beat him until level 46. but beware SOMETHING WORS IS BEHIND THAT DOOR!
