How do you beat the sand temple boss in spirit tracks?

It may take a while, but here's what you do.

Advantages

Below him, when you see his gate (or whatever) open, use your sand wand to stop the rolling boulder. Put the boulder into the catapult and hit the switch to send the boulder to the boss. Do this twice. Once done you'll see an opening to hit him. The rest around him is covered with armor, so don't hit the armor. Again drag the boulder to the catapult. Try to get his opening spot in the way of the boulder. Throw your boomerang at the switch, still at your spot, to send the boulder right at him. The next time, his opening spot is a bit smaller. Once he's down to a head, trap him with the sand wand and send yourself up and attack the red jewel on his head, afterwards he'll go down and you win.

Disadvantages

If his face turns red he's about to shoot you with a laser beam. Run around to avoid it. More than 1 boulder may come out at the same time so watch out. If a boulder hits YOUR boulder, I'm afraid you gotta get a new one. After a while the boulders will turn red and go faster. Use as much sand as you can to stop it quick.

Well there is a trick... Bomb yourself and while you're injured, run past. The normal way is to go up to F2 and do the puzzle there though.
