You may become a member by using a phone line or a cell phone. If you do it by phone you must pull up the site and call the number Jagex gives you and it will charge to your phone bill. (This may be untrue now, as they probably have upgraded this system as the old one was faulty). However if you have a cellphone you may request a text message that will cost like nine dollars or something and they will send you a text and you will have to enter a code and you will gain 30 days membership to the game. Although to do this is probably more difficult than obtaining a credit card from a relative (with permission of course). In doing so you will have to go to the runescape website and from there go to my account and click upgrade account. The rest should be fairly self-explainable.
It say on the Runescape site how to become a member.
