A spy is someone that has placement and access to information that someone else wants or needs. It is not unrasonable to expect that a Christian militia member in Indonesia at age 13 would be recruited by a foreign intelligence service to spy on the militia he is a member of.
If you don't have information that anyone else wants, you can't be a spy. If you do have information that someone else wants, you have to find a way to contact the service that would be interested in such information clandestinely so as not to be caught by your host country and punished with jail, or death.
Don't be too worried if you don't have friends that are terrorists, executives, drug dealers, or scientists working on classified projects. You can still be in the intelligence services as you get older if you choose too. You'll be 18 before you know it and can then enlist in the Navy, Army or Air Force as an intelligence specialist.
