A veterinarian is by definition also a zoologist, although a zoologist specifically trained in providing medical care to living animals and to evaluate living animals both individually and as a population. Therefore, the term "zoologic veterinarian" is redundant, and the position is simply called "a veterinarian". To become a veterinarian in the United States, you need to complete a minimum of three years of undergraduate college classes ranging from physics to biochemistry to statistics, then complete another four years of vet school.
